Alexander Platz is a visual artist, photographer and writer. He lives and works in Berlin, Germany. In his YouTube documentary "In Search of Light" he presents himself and his work in an impressive way. In 10Photos, Alexander has chosen not to write about himself and his career, but to describe both with the number 10.

10Photos = 10 of my works = 10 sentences about me and my work:

  1. In my opinion, as a photographer/artist, I can be anything - but not boring.
  2. Therefore, my "eye must always travel" and learning and developing is a process that never stops.
  3. The camera is my brush with which I paint the people I am interested in and passionate about.
  4. For me, photography and the image are the manifestation and interpretation of ideas and feelings.
  5. The interpretation is created during retouching and is carried by the music, which is a source of inspiration and expression for me.
  6. I do not follow or acknowledge any photographic rules or dogmas.
  7. The photographs are my canvas on which I interpret my image partners and our idea.
  8. We work closely together and everyone contributes their ideas, feelings and thoughts.
  9. Photo shoots are like dancing to music without fixed poses.
  10. I am always looking for the "unexpected moment".
