Martin Wieland

Renowned photographer Martin Wieland was born in Vienna in 1970. At the age of 14 he decided to follow in his father's footsteps and make photography his profession. As part of his education, Martin attended the Höhere Graphische Bundes-Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt in Vienna. Today he enjoys international recognition as a photographer and photo coach in the field of people photography.

Since 1997, Martin has specialised in nude and sensual photography, although his portfolio also includes classic portraiture. The empathetic photographer's special skill lies in his excellent communication with people. As a result, Martin inspires his models to perform at their best and achieve optimal results. Rather than simply giving instructions, he uses the art of guiding to create a relaxed atmosphere during the shoot - a principle that is reflected in his images.

Martin's many years of experience result in exceptionally creative and sensual photographs. His work is captivating, not only because of his choice of fascinating locations and exciting lighting conditions, but also because of his sometimes subtle sense of humour. Martin's versatility is not only the result of more than 25 years of sensual photography, but also the product of his love of experimentation and flair for the unusual.

Martin's photographs have been published in numerous international magazines. He is also known as the editor of the sensual calendars "Black & White" and "All in Colour", which have become coveted collector's items. Two illustrated books complete his impressive oeuvre.

10Photos says: Despite Martin's very extensive portfolio, we find almost without exception only creative shots. We see the images of a nude photographer who has been practising his profession for decades, but whose passion still shines through in every shot... Martin has asked us to select the images for 10Photos ourselves. We looked through his photos and couldn't really decide. No selection does justice to this photographer's work. We have a choice between very sensual, wonderfully creative, humorously sexy and excitingly different. A tantalising choice, but an immensely fascinating one.
