Jürgen Bussmann

Jürgen Bussmann has been working as a people photographer with a focus on nude photography since 2010. He lives in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the south of North Rhine-Westphalia. Jürgen is available for bookings in the area of people photography, whether indoors or outdoors, in the studio itself, at the customer's home or at another desired location (on location). He also has his own studio in Waldbröl.

For this personable autodidact, photography is a creative, artistic process that begins in the mind. Whether planned or spontaneous, like a painter in front of a blank canvas. His canvas is the sensor or the negative, his brushes are the different focal lengths. The colors and shades of gray are the light, the environment and the model.

Some might say that his images are not technically perfectly exposed. In fact, he rarely uses the camera's automatic functions. Much more important to him than the correct exposure of the environment is the effect of light and shadow on the model in conjunction with the subject and pose. Creativity should not and must not be hindered by technical perfectionism.

He also uses Photoshop for image manipulation, but not nearly as much as you might expect. For him, 90 percent of an image should come directly from the camera. Programs like Photoshop are only used for finishing touches. He has neither the time nor the inclination to spend hours in front of a computer editing an image. It's probably because of his analog background.

Nude photography is his greatest challenge in the field of people photography. Often the body is veiled and staged with light and pose. Aesthetics are very important to him. His motto is: "You should be able to show a good nude photo on Sunday afternoon over coffee with your family without blushing."

By refraining from extreme image manipulation, his images also appear natural and authentic. Rarely have we been so excited about nude photography!
