Frank Hoffmann

Since 2017, he has focused mainly on portrait photography, learning more with each shoot. When he sees fascinating faces, he doesn't hesitate to approach people. This alone can be the basis for a photo project.

Whether it is the way he deals with the people themselves or the clever use of available light, nothing is as reproducible as studio photography and each of his images is unique.

Sometimes Frank misses his old photo studio, which he had to give up when he moved. Especially during the winter months, he wishes he had a studio in Duisburg. On the other hand, he is happy not to have the financial burden and to be able to shoot his portraits in the surrounding cities. Available light photography plays an increasingly important role in his work.

During the winter months, Frank occasionally takes the opportunity to get models who already know him to do a home shoot. Of course, this is a matter of trust and does not happen too often.

With his pictures he wants to portray people in an advantageous and sophisticated way and is not a friend of serial shots. During his two to three hour shoots, he tends to take 300 images or less.
