Yvonne Albe
Yvonne Albe was born in Munich in the mid-1970s and now lives in Seeheim-Jugenheim on the Bergstrasse in Hesse. She is known as a nature and landscape photographer who focuses on the charm of trees, forests and the natural spaces behind them. Yvonne's artistic work is characterised by a fascination with the mysterious atmosphere of these environments, which she captures with great sensitivity and foresight in special weather conditions - especially fog. She is not only concerned with the aesthetic representation of nature, but also with the appeal to protect this endangered habitat.

For Yvonne, trees and forests are more than just visual subjects - they represent permanence, history and the diversity of our world. Her work unfolds a broad spectrum of expression that goes far beyond the simple capture of landscape. Whether through the changing seasons that reveal different moods and details, or through the deliberate use of shifting perspectives, she captures the interplay of light and shadow with masterful precision.
Her photography captures the abstract structures of tree bark, the subtle flow of leaves and the balanced interplay of natural forms. Scenes flooded with light alternate with atmospheric moods of mist, conveying a sense of solitude and life, but also the fragility of nature. Using a subdued colour palette to heighten the mood and give the paintings a serene character, Yvonne succeeds in combining shapes and subtle colour accents to create a harmonious whole. This successful interplay transports the viewer into the fascinating and multi-layered world of the forest.
Although most of her photographs are taken in her home region of the Bergstrasse and the Odenwald, her unwavering fascination has taken her to other parts of Germany and to more than a dozen European countries - from Portugal to Slovenia and from Italy to Norway, where she captures striking forest landscapes.
In addition to her photographic work, Yvonne is actively involved in nature conservation. As head of the NABU forest group Seeheim-Jugenheim and member of a citizens' initiative, she is committed to the preservation and sustainable management of forests. At the same time, she shares her extensive knowledge in workshops and lectures on forest and landscape photography in the Bergstrasse-Odenwald region. Her expertise is also reflected in her book Geheimnisse der Waldfotografie (Secrets of Forest Photography), the new edition of which offers technical tips and personal insights from her many years of involvement with the forest ecosystem. Numerous regional exhibitions, publications in daily newspapers and photo magazines as well as the "NiSi Photographer of the Month" award round off her work.
