Stefano Paterna - Architecture & Landscape

Stefano Paterna is a multi-talented photographer from Cologne, Germany, specialising in travel, architecture and landscape photography. Before turning his passion for travel and photography into a career, Stefano worked in various European banks after completing his studies. At the same time, he studied photography at the prestigious University of the Arts in London and spent a year as an assistant to advertising and fashion photographer Prasad Naik in Mumbai.

After spending several years abroad and travelling extensively, the Cologne-based photographer with Italian roots returned to Germany and finally ventured out on his own in 2006. Continually inspired by the beauty and diversity of the world he captures with his camera, and wanting to pass on this inspiration, he opened a photography school in his hometown in 2013.

Since then, Stefano has been sharing his knowledge and experience with amateur photographers through workshops on location and special photo tours. It is important to him to teach not only the technical aspects of photography, but also the different perspectives. For Stefano, there is no "right or wrong" in photography, but rather many individual perspectives that can lead to unique and surprising results.

Stefano continues to work as a photographer and is regularly commissioned by magazines, publishers, tourist boards and tour operators. His projects have taken him all over the world and his photographs have been published in many prestigious magazines and newspapers, including National Geographic Traveler, Condé Nast Traveler, Merian, GEO, Vanity Fair, Harper's Bazaar, Financial Times and Wall Street Journal. In the coming year, photo shoots are planned in Valencia, Paris, Tuscany, Indonesia, Brazil, London, Ecuador and New Zealand. We look forward to seeing the results!
