His autodidactic path, shaped by YouTube tutorials and his own experimentation, quickly led him to his first successes. Initially, he focused on portraiture and studio photography, before the city of Berlin and its many facets became the focus of his work. A trip to the Alps and the fascinating moods of twilight finally awakened his enthusiasm for landscape photography. He not only developed the ability to capture the special atmosphere of these moments, but also discovered his deep passion for nature.

Stefan's style is not only influenced by photography, but also by his experience as a graphic designer. This enables him to use light, colour and composition effectively. He pays particular attention to image manipulation that complements the subject without looking artificial. His trademarks are bold foregrounds, rich colours and a keen sense of contrast that literally draws the viewer into the scene.

Stefan's images require a lot of preparation and patience, because for him a photograph doesn't just start on location, but also in the planning stage. Google Earth, lighting apps and detailed research are all part of the process, as is the willingness to wait for the perfect light. This dedication is particularly evident in his 'time-blending' technique, in which he combines different shots of a subject taken at different times to create a coherent overall image. His aim is to capture and enhance the emotion and atmosphere of the moment.

As well as being a photographer, Stefan is an inspiring mentor. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge through workshops, photo tours and his YouTube channel. Whether it's image processing or photography techniques, he knows how to share his expertise with ease and charm, inspiring others to take up photography. His credo: "Planning and patience are the keys to a great photograph. He is not afraid to point out the challenges of landscape photography, such as getting up early or staying out in the open. But it is precisely this "torture", as the likeable photographer calls it, that makes the reward all the greater.

His work has won several awards and has been featured in prestigious magazines and international exhibitions. But for Stefan, photography is more than just a job. It is his vocation, his way of escaping from everyday life and sharing the beauty of nature with others.
