Rainer Armbruster is a passionate nature and wildlife photographer from near Reutlingen in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Working as a mechanical engineer, he finds balance and relaxation in photography. Since his childhood he has had a close relationship with nature, which developed through excursions with his father. This deep connection to the environment grew over the years and was complemented by an interest in photography in his youth. Today, the combination of experiencing nature and capturing its beauty with a camera is an indispensable part of his life.

His photographs are mainly taken in his home region, which offers ideal conditions with its variety of landscapes and wildlife. In particular, the Schönbuch Nature Park, the oldest nature park in Baden-Württemberg, is a frequent setting for his work. Here he is particularly fascinated by the red deer, which can be freely observed and photographed in their natural environment.

In addition to these majestic animals, Rainer also enjoys bird and macro photography, documenting the small, often overlooked details of life. For variety and inspiration, he constantly expands his radius and explores the Swabian Alb, Lake Constance and the central Neckar region. The camera also accompanies him on his travels to authentically capture foreign landscapes and animals.

Rainer believes in honest and unadulterated photography. His work is characterised by a respectful approach to animals and nature: he approaches his subjects patiently, quietly and almost invisibly in order to achieve impressive, format-filling shots with a long focal length. His images radiate calm and naturalness, showing animals in all their splendour and documenting their uniqueness. His work is characterised by his attention to detail. He is able to capture even the smallest facets of the animals and their environment without losing sight of the overall aesthetic.
