In addition to his freelance artistic work, Peter accompanies couples on one of the most important days of their lives. As a wedding photographer in Dresden and the surrounding area, it is important to him to create images that will touch you even years later. Memories that stay alive - lovingly, honestly and movingly told with the camera. However, there are two areas at the centre of his photographic work: landscape and architectural photography. Both are stylistically distinct, yet share a common aesthetic - characterised by clarity, structure and visual tranquillity.
In his landscape photography, Peter develops a feeling for the vastness, the quiet grandeur of nature and the subtle dramaturgy of light and weather. Whether jagged rocks in the morning mist, a still lake under a pale sky, or the fleeting glow of the sun on a sandy surface, his nature photographs eschew spectacular staging in favour of a quiet, almost meditative contemplation of the world. The composition is often reduced, but never empty - each image tells a story of time, place and mood without imposing itself. It is this quiet poetry that makes his landscapes so enduringly effective.
Peter's architectural photography is very different - and yet just as consistent. Geometry, perspective and an almost graphic sense of form and contrast dominate. He succeeds in capturing urban spaces and buildings not only as documentary subjects, but also in transforming them into abstract, sometimes minimalist compositions. Lines and surfaces merge into rhythms, facades and structures become a stage for light and shadow. Peter's architectural photography lives not from the pomp or pathos of the buildings, but from their visual character - to the point, without gimmickry.

10Photos says: Peter Scheitz impresses us with photography that appears calm at first glance - and this is where its strength lies. His images do not speak of the hustle and bustle of the moment, but of the enduring beauty of form, colour and light. It is the combination of technical precision, a keen eye for detail and a palpable enjoyment of the world that makes his photographs so special. For him, landscape and architecture are not opposites, but two ways of expressing the same sensibility: for the interplay of space and time, for structure in chaos, and for the quiet beauty in things large and small. His photographs are never loud, but they resonate for a long time. We are more than fascinated by his great work!
