Oliver Lozano, an internationally award-winning photographer from Stuttgart with German-Mexican roots, captures the many facets of the human character in his images - always with a keen sense of aesthetics and a large dose of creativity. Oliver's approach is based on an intensive, personal exchange that begins before the actual recording - in relaxed conversations in which he gets to know the visions and wishes of his counterpart. He draws on his experience as a musician, singer and actor to create an atmosphere in which people feel safe, understood and, above all, comfortable. The result is emotional and authentic photos that capture more than just the outside. Oliver shows who you can be when you are open and comfortable. Whether glamorous Vanity Fair-style cover shots, special brand shoots, extravagant portraits or sensual nudes, he knows how to bring out people's character and personality.
Depending on the mood and situation, he works in expressive black and white as well as in colour. In the latter, the versatile photographer prefers muted and harmonious tones that create a noble and timeless look, but does not shy away from bold and striking colours when the subject matter demands it. Oliver's style often combines cinematic visual effects, fine detail and a vivid rendering of facial expressions and gestures. As a result, his portraits go far beyond the ordinary. Humour, drama and emotion captivate the viewer - often to such an extent that they are completely lost in the scene and swept away by its mesmerising effect.
Oliver sees himself not only as a photographer, but also as a filmmaker, storyteller and coach. Through workshops, shooting trips - for example to the USA - and community events, he is actively involved in inspiring people and showing them how to discover their own uniqueness. The team behind every successful film plays an important role, as he knows from experience that a day with him and his crew can often do more than years of self-therapy.
A tip for photographers is his legendary daylight loft studio to rent in the centre of Stuttgart. It impresses with its attention to detail and inspiring atmosphere. Photo shoots, film shoots, workshops and smaller events (up to 40 people) take place here - a place where greats such as Johannes Heesters, Heinz Erhardt and many more have stood in front of the lens.
