Norbert Rüter from Weyhe in Lower Saxony is a versatile architectural and street photographer with a keen sense of form, contrast and structure. He has been fascinated by photography since his youth - first analogue, later digital. After a career break, he has returned to his great passion, focusing on what inspires him most: black and white architecture and street photography.

His work is characterised by clear lines, geometric shapes and the interplay of light and shadow. In particular, the square format and the absence of colour are central design elements in Norbert's images. They give his photographs a timeless aesthetic and emphasise the effect of reduction. For Norbert, photographing in black and white is a conscious decision to capture moments in their purest form, without distraction and with maximum expressiveness.

His architectural photography combines old and new. Sacred buildings with their historic aura are juxtaposed with modern functional buildings with clean lines and minimalist design. Norbert sees the passage of time in these structures and captures their contrasts, but also their connections, with his camera. Lines, patterns and perspectives are masterfully composed and transformed into harmonious, often almost graphic images.

He also has an extraordinary sense of the right moment in street photography. It is not about everyday scenes, but unique moments that often exist for a fraction of a second - and then disappear forever. Whether it is people interacting with architecture, fleeting silhouettes or minimalist details in urban space, Norbert's images tell stories without words.

His photography is not only a visual art, but also a personal expression of peace and creativity. For him, photography is a process of slowing down, a way of consciously perceiving the world and capturing its special moments. As a member of the German Association for Photography, he regularly participates in national and international photography competitions, successfully meeting the challenge of presenting his work at the highest level.
