Mia Graphya

As well as photography, Mia loves spending time outdoors, running barefoot in the rain, climbing mountains on her bike and enjoying the small wonders of everyday life in quiet moments. For Mia, even the most ordinary days are an adventure because she believes that every moment has the potential to be special - it's just up to us to recognise it.

With camera in hand, she intuitively follows her gut and is inspired by the small details of life. Since completing her training as a photographer in 2015 and founding "Mia Graphya" two years later, she has dedicated herself body and soul to her art. She is particularly passionate about black and white photography, which for her creates a world away from the distractions of colour. She believes that the true essence of beauty lies in the soft gradations of black and white. In this monochrome world there is room for feelings, stories and the nuances that make life and photography so unique.

Her portrait and nude photography follows this philosophy. In her sensual photographs, the body is never just an object, but is staged through the use of light and shadow, gentle suggestion and aesthetic perspective, so that the emotions are in the foreground. Mia succeeds in depicting nudity in an artful and subtle way, without losing the depth and authenticity of the images. Her work often does not reveal everything, but leaves room for interpretation and imagination. This restrained approach makes her photographs special and invites the viewer to discover the subtle nuances between what is visible and what is hidden. The human body blends harmoniously into the overall composition, creating a deeper connection between physicality, emotion and aesthetics. The result is a sensual, yet never obtrusive body of work that demonstrates that true beauty often lies between extremes.
