Matthew Pine

Experimental people photographer Matthew Pine from Wuppertal is not an artist who can be conventionally categorised. His photographs are a mixture of serious, sometimes depressing moods and a dash of humour and lightness. These contrasts make his work unique and polarising. What sets Matthew apart is his ability to capture emotion in an intense and unconventional way - his work is a firework of mood and passion. This photography is not simply mainstream, it leaves the beaten track and opens up new, innovative avenues.

Matthew works in both colour and black and white, although his choice of colour is often deliberately reduced and restrained. For him, mood is paramount and colour should not dominate but rather subtly enhance it. His creative approach is as fluid as it is versatile. He does not follow rigid rules, but experiments freely, which makes his photographs lively and unpredictable. This is also evident in the way he works with his 'models' - a term he deliberately uses in quotation marks. Matthew rarely gives instructions, instead allowing situations to arise and ideas to develop in the moment. It is an intuitive, open process in which he tries out a lot and is guided by what he spontaneously likes.

The influence of Bruce Lee's 'Jeet Kune Do' philosophy, which preaches the abandonment of rigid patterns and limitations, is clearly reflected in Matthew's way of working. For him, it is about expressing himself as honestly and freely in photography as Lee propagated in the martial arts. Matthew rejects preconceived notions, strives for authenticity and explores the unknown. This constant experimentation and search for new forms of expression gives a special dynamic to his creative process.

We can philosophise and argue about whether photography is an art or a craft. But one thing is indisputable: Matthew's work is artistically valuable. They are characterised by their uniqueness and the way in which they convey intense emotion. It is not easy fare, almost a challenge for the viewer to embark on this journey through darkness and light. But those who allow themselves to do so will discover images that evoke strong feelings and have a lasting effect. Matthew achieves what photography, and art in general, is meant to do: To evoke emotion and stimulate thought.

10Photos says: Matthew Pine's photography is inspiring because it is not just beautiful or technically perfect - it challenges, it surprises, it makes us think. His images are not pleasing, they have rough edges and that is what fascinates us. It is Matthew's ability to capture emotions and moods in an honest yet profound way that captivates and touches the viewer. With a playful, almost philosophical approach and a penchant for the mysterious and abstract, he creates work that goes far beyond the expected. Photographer Matthew Pine invites us to see the world - and ourselves - anew through his lens and to mentally transcend boundaries. Highly recommended!

Necessary note on the subject of "buttocks and breasts" on the Internet: Dear young visitor. If you are not yet 16 years old, unfortunately you are not allowed to view these artistic and sensual photos. Please leave this site now. Alternatively you can go to a public swimming pool, there you will surely find enough women with naked torso. Or look at the lightly clothed girls on the billboards in the city. That is also allowed. Not here! Please close your eyes immediately and scream for help ...
