Fritz Eichmann, born in 1949 and living in Zwiesel in the Bavarian Forest, has dedicated himself to nature and landscape photography since the 1980s. His work is characterised by a deep connection to his homeland, which he captures with his camera. He is not only interested in aesthetic beauty, but also in the importance and fragility of our environment.

Fritz finds his subjects mainly in the Bavarian Forest and Šumava National Parks, which inspire him time and again with their unspoilt nature and special light moods. He is a master at capturing the charm of rain and mist - moments that make the forests seem mystical and timeless. With a clear, authentic visual language, he succeeds in making the diversity and uniqueness of nature tangible. His photographs are not simply documentary images, but artistic interpretations of the landscape that evoke a quiet reverence for our world.
Fritz's work is first and foremost a tribute to his homeland and the incomparable beauty of the wilderness and its inhabitants. At the same time, they are thought-provoking in their exploration of the fragility of the forest and the changing landscape. Issues such as forest dieback and the loss of natural habitats are subtly incorporated into his photographs, giving them a deeper meaning. His images remind us of the importance of treating and preserving the treasures of nature with respect, without losing sight of the aesthetics and magic of the landscape.
Fritz's photographs have been shown in various exhibitions in the Bavarian Forest National Park. More of his images can be seen on the National Park's website. His work has also graced flyers, information brochures and calendars on nature and landscape themes - even beyond the borders of the Bavarian Forest in other regions of Germany.
